Patrick Motisi, founder, and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Swiss non-profit association Helvetia Lyrica, presents this unique initiative, which aims to preserve and disseminate the heritage of Lyric Art from its roots to the first half of the 20th century.

Helvetia Lyrica is an association with a heritage, cultural and pedagogic vocation.

Its main objective is to collect the most representative pieces of the excellence of Lyric Art in its classical form, 

such as Opera and classical vocal recital.

It proposes to establish a receptacle for its ideal preservation thanks to donations and various forms of funding enabling it to achieve its "noble cause".

The association presents itself as a legal entity available to receive iconographic collections, manuscripts and first editions from private individuals who are wondering about their future, and to build up its own heritage.

The idea for this initiative arose from an awareness of the growing disaffection with this heritage.

Patrick Motisi, himself a collector of these themes, felt the need to take urgent action to preserve this already endangered heritage.

The cultural aspect manifests itself in the organization of exhibitions and conferences, and the dissemination of its cultural programs and collections via digital channels, to reach a wider audience without distinction or discrimination.

The educational aspect is revealed by its work with associations and school groups for the very young, as well as the organization of Master Classes for young opera singers led by internationally renowned artists.

For its first year in 2024, Helvetia Lyrica aims to organize a lyric Master Class, an exhibition or concert and a cultural trip to a "capital" that was the cradle of lyric art, on the theme of its discovery and its lyric history.

An ambitious program which, if all the most active forces without borders are mobilized, has every chance of succeeding.
