Pictures from our last conference

Our first event of 2025 took place on March 27 in Geneva, with a conference on the mythical Diva Maria Malibran, led by Professor Emeritus Patrick Barbier.

As usual, he captivated his audience with his spellbinding narrative, punctuated by sound illustrations.

It was also an opportunity to present two pieces, including a lithograph depicting a portrait of the Diva, and a drawing by her hand dated 1835, illustrating her multiple artistic talents.

You'll find photos of the event by clicking on the link opposite: Malibran Conference - Galérie.

Our next conference

We invite you to save the evening of Thursday, May 15 at 6:30 p.m. in Geneva, for a lecture by journalist and author Charles Sigel, to be held in the Salle GAMMAH of the Geneva Museum of Art and History (Promenade du Pin 5 1204 Geneva).

It will focus on the Théâtre des Italiens and its artists in 19th-century Paris, who imported the Italian lyrical repertoire, particularly the "Bel Canto", to France.

It's also an opportunity to admire rare iconographic items from this period and its protagonists, on display in the conference room.

We recommend that you register, by e-mail or via the link below, to ensure a seat: conference registration.

Our image in the media

We were delighted to benefit from a few lines in the electronic music magazine Crescendo, thanks to the contribution of Swiss journalist and musicologist Paul-André Demièrre, to whom we offer our warmest thanks. News from our honorary committee

Last but not least, we are delighted and honored to welcome a new legendary opera artist to our Honorary Committee: American mezzo-soprano Jennifer Larmore.

The Executive Committee warmly thanks him for his trust.
